The actual bridge will be about 630 meters long and about 14.70 meters wide. However, the construction area will be 400 meters wide.

Construction Area

In Thailand, the construction site is about 10 kilometers apart from Amphoe Chiang Khong (Chiang Khong District) in Thailand, and about 12 kilometers apart from Ban Houayxay of Laos.

Budgets and Duration

The Thais, Laotians, and Chinese have co-operated to spend about 1,900 million Baht as the budget for this construction project. The share will then be divided in half between the Thais and Chinese. It is estimated the time for construction to be at least 3 years and will be finished in year 2011.
